They will rest him and doctor him all year, and have him ready for the playoffs. I'd rather have a 5.3 million dollar player for a month and a half when it counts, than a 20 million dollar forward who was so scared to take a shot he sat on the bench during the playoffs. His passing ability is the problem. Even if he only comes back at 75%, the passing ability makes it incredibly difficult to guard them.

 

How could I forget? This now sets a new precedent for all stars to take MASSIVE pay cuts, look at how many people are blaming CP for taking the payment he EARNED.

Pelicans really hurt Cousins value when they went with Randle for 2yr/1$8m. Dallas, Suns, Lakers and others were off the table

Cousins is looking to prove his quality post injury so he could sign a much more valuable contract next season. No other team will pay boogie a high number will putting less demand on him to come back from injury. AT GSW, he is under no pressure to produce immediately. The chance to win a ring just seals it.

GSW will be fine as long as he can do better than McGee/Zaza levels

This makes a joke out of the NBA. It really does. Something about California, money, movie stars, and power taints the NBA. I always felt that way about the Lakers and shirt chewing Kobe, and the way calls seemed to always go their way. I didn't think it was possible to hate a team more until the Warriors and chewing my mouthpiece Curry came around. Then it got even worse with the Durant signing. Now it's just at a level of vomit in the mouth disgusting. I guess I wouldn't feel that way if Chris Paul had signed with us for 5.3 million, to free up money for other players. No, things like that just don't happen in Houston.
