Not sure if this has been mentioned earlier or not...

I've zero interest on Gabe, until I read the the article on him at the Houston Chronicle...

He's actually played at the 2003 African Championships (Olympic Qualifiers), led his team in scoring (2nd in tournament), and almost won the Tournament MVP Award (if his team didn't lose in the final).

Here's his stats at the tournament:
G MIN FG% 3PM-A FT% REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS
    7 31.7 .482 12-41 .788 4.7 0.9 1.29 0.71 2.1 2.6 17.1

Seems to me that he's a very good player and Houston is his home, I think he should make it to the season opening roster...

    Another interesting findings:
There's a player playing in the tournament having the same family name (last name) as our Yao Ming! His name is Aristides Yao! He's playing for Ivory Coast, no other info on him can be found though...

    GO ROCKS!
