Hello, I thought since the Fourth of July is approaching, and I'm planning a big party, I need to get some good songs put together for a playlist. I call upon my fellow Americans here on Clutchfans to share their favorite as the great day approaches. What are yall's favorite patriotic songs? Here are a few of some recent finds of mine from my Youtube list.
America The Beautiful. ..Imagine playing baseball on the 4th of July with your buddies while this song plays. You just exploded a baseball into pieces with your Yordan style homerun but your buddies are more concerned with the fireworks. Born in the U.S.A, could have been written by time traveling antifuhs, I don't know. But I always play it loud when I hear it. Deep in the heart of Texas- Should be played everyday at schools all across the world. Only song of its kind that gets me pumped. It could be because it's synonymous with Astros baseball. Those are my top 3. All others : Anything in the Rocky IV soundtrack.
John Mellancamp Pink Houses / Ain't that America America the Beautiful, Ray Charles Version. Paul Simon American Tune Neil Diamond Coming to America
I know we are talking about our favorite patriot songs, but this is one I've always hated. Ever since I was a kid, I always couldn't stand it and it always bothered me. Don't get me wrong, I love this country, it's just this song I couldn't stomach
Neil Diamond - "America" Ray Charles - "America the Beautiful" There's a song that's played at the EPCOT America pavilion called "Golden Dream" that is corny, but I love it. Includes JFK "ask not" quote...MLK's "I have a dream speech" part..."Eagle has landed."
