I know folks are having a good laugh about this on the webs, but it just goes to show how lucky we have been over the past century to have a political system that isn't like most of the rest of the world where it literally tears families apart. Now keep in mind here in the US, we have our fair share of corrupt politicians in office, and we are headed to a very nasty place currently with the divisiveness of this current campaign, but in the past we don't have a system where you literally have to worry about getting disowned or getting persecuted. The worst you have to worry about here is awkward family dinners, and an agreement to not talk politics if you and your family cannot agree.

Why do you even bother writing anything after the second line? Turkey has been Europe's play thing since the first fall of Constantinople. The idea that turkey can peacefully exist on its own tenants has been wrong for at least 2000 years. If America stops hanging out in turkey, another country will instead. Turkey is incredibly weak as an international power, and always has been. I say let them do as they wish. They will fall, once again, and someone will have to come in and clean the mess up, like last time. If the current leader continues ruling, they will crumble from within. Anyone that can't see the parallels between this, ukraine, Russia, and Germany probably shouldn't be allowed to vote at all. Unfortunately you can't punish short sightedness.

There are many jackass in this thread do not appreciate enough that they are living in a country that is the home of the free.
