We don't know that the kings wanted Capela. Or any other pieces we have for that matter. There were a few teams in serious negotiations and this is the deal they chose.

Lol they want to pull a twin tower, two dominant players, this is gonna make AD play like a guard.

And don't the Kings have like 3-4 frontcourt big men that needs PT anyways? What would they have done with Capela? Dekker's a nice piece but if you're telling me to take gamble on Dekker or the 6th pick in last year's draft, that's a pretty easy choice to make.

Buddy Hield is only 3 years younger than Cousins lmao lmao lmao

Find your nearest Kings fan and hug them. They need it. They just set that franchise back half a decade minimum.

I think Hield is interesting, but not that much, a package like Capela, Dekker, KJ, 1st, 2nd, 2nd would've been definitely better, but the Pelicans are probably desperate (Davis is probably not happy to be in lottery again), other teams are not, simple as that. If Boogie is not willing to commit to a new deal today, you don't trade good pieces for him, too risky.

It's not about how good our assets are. It's how they compare to what the Kings are getting. We could beat that deal.

Twin tower is a concern that probably will work 15-20 years ago.

    Not in this era.

And the Pels is a joke at the PG position, they are not going anyway.

No. Because I think capela and Dekker are valued more than they really are... think the NBA outside of Houston knows that.

Glad we didn't pursue Cousins. He wouldn't work in our system. Good trade for the Pelicans but they need improvement at guard to make it work.

This seriously needs to be taken into consideration. The Kings haven't done anything competent since they got screwed in the WCF against the Lakers, and have been a dysfunctional mess for the entirety of Boogie's stay. It's fitting they ship him off for significantly less than what they prob could still get for him. And Capela, Dekker, a 1st and 2 2nds(something the Rockets could offer) is at the minimum on par with what NOLA offered. Not only could we match that deal, many other teams(Boston comes immediately to mind) could match that deal. Bad deal for Sacramento because they should've got more.

They just traded for 3 shooting guards and are already prepared to waive one of them. And who says they have to keep Capela or anyone else we send them?

    But 37% from 3, on 4.2 attempts.

He's not having a good year (yet), but he can shoot.

Again, it don't matter if we can beat it; it's whether or not the Sacramento front office is smart enough to take the better deal. In what we've seen/read, you know their front office isn't operating at full mental capacity.

Does this mean we can get Collison and Koufos for a pick and Brewer now?

Yep. They're only 2 1/2 games out of the 8th seed. And one of the 3 teams ahead of them is the Kings who are all but certain to collapse in the standings after giving away Cousins.

The Pelicans acquired a 26 year old superstar Center and all it took was Buddy Hield and a non lotto pick (because the Pels will make the Playoffs)

    Joke.
