We love to build people up, then tear them down, then eventually build them back up again. Tiger fits right into that mold. We've all watched Tiger grow up, basically. We watched him do a lot of stupid - like we've all done when we were young, except that he did stupid with zeros on the end. We watched him hit rock bottom. And yesterday, we watched him make it back to the top again - both professionally and (as far as we know) personally. It's a great story that goes beyond just golf.
