Congrats Robert Covington NBADL MVP & Troy Daniels 2nd place 3pt contest!

I hope Covington will gain some confidence and get back in the rotation.
His shooting could prove useful to us.

 

Daniels and Singler actually tied and they shot against each other for another round and Singler won.

eubanks was playing great, but covington got hot at the end. wonder if he'll ever get nba minutes

 

My guess is he is just taking the Morris/lamb/tjones/DMo approach of having your first year devolping your skills not playing many if any nba minutes and then in your second year start to be incorporated into the rotation.

However if the rockets didn't get all of these injuries then who knows if tjones and dmo would of actually got significant playing time

hope rob can step up and beast for us; he needs to hustle more though

 

I'm guessing that most of the winners are not allready on nba teams, so the % of cov making it is significantly higher

I just finished watching the game on YouTube and was unimpressed by Covington overall. He seemed lackadaisical almost the entire time he was out there and missed a number of point blank shots at the rim including dunks. In a game where there was 0 defense whoever took the most shots was bound to win the MVP. Not trying to rain on his parade but that kind of play won't cut it in the NBA period. I can see now why Morey traded Brooks for Hamilton instead of bringing Covington up.
