after the game i was imagining if leroids had come to HOU.... these guys would have won 3 rings together. and i don't see any of them winning even 1 now
Sound like Paul is taking a shot at capeala Thumb injury from last year. Capeala had 90 million, and capeala sat out for a thumb, and Tucker never misses yet he can't have an extension of the same deal!?!?
Endgame lineup: CP3 is leading a Thunder closing group that is the league's best The Thunder are the league's undisputed clutch-time maestros, with a league-best plus-27.3 net rating in a league-high 38 games that feature a score within five points in the last five minutes of regulation. They are 25-13 in clutch-time games, with the best offense in the clutch at an absurd 123.5 points per 100 possessions. Paul leads the league in clutch scoring (128 points), Gilgeous-Alexander is 12th (79) and Schroder is 27th (62). When that trio is on the floor, OKC outscores opponents by 29.6 points per 100 possessions. OKC's preferred closing group -- the three guards, plus center Steven Adams and power forward Danilo Gallinari -- is the best lineup in the NBA by net rating with a minimum 150 minutes (plus-30.2 per 100 in 159 minutes). And 52.8% of those minutes have come in the fourth quarter. "If you guys had mics on all of us, you'd get a chance to see we're all each other's biggest cheerleaders," Paul said. "I've seen teams where guys aren't necessarily rooting for each other. They want you to do bad so they can be in the game. But we're not like that in here, and it's refreshing and nice to see." The Houston Rockets have the NBA's attention with their radical small-ball swerve, but the Thunder have been at their gamble since day one. It was borne out of necessity rather than strategy -- like most trendsetting moves -- but they committed to it and have leaned in. It's their not-so-secret weapon and what keeps them as the frisky, dangerous, nobody-wants-to-play-them wild card in the Western Conference playoff bracket.
LOL @ every single line-up or team using some 3-guard line-up that is non-traditional it is used to paint the Rockets in a negative light. It has nothing to do with what the Thunder are doing and the Rockets used the 3-guard line-up with Gordon to close out games for ages. Still great for them and CP3, he used to be clutch for us too, just not last year.
They would have run through the league. Although, Lebron did have a good idea of getting Kawhi AND AD on the Lakers. Turns out Kawhi is more interested in taking out Lebron than teaming up with him. I always thought we had a solid chance at him since he and CP3 were such good buddies, maybe not over 50% but like 30%? In the end he runs off to LA to make movies...when he could have done that anyways once he retired.
CP3 having a phenomenal year. Legitimately one of the most impactful players in the league, both on court and off-court.
LA is a no brainers in terms of potential big timers, FAs are going to join them eventually. Lebron knew that, also Cali bball schools for his kids.
He rested last year so he is fresh this year. He isnt "one of the most impactful players in the league" though, otherwise he would be in MVP conversation which he isnt. Off court Cp3 has always been a class act, nothing bad to say about him there.
Hard to argue with how CP is currently playing, only wish this guy would have showed up last year when he did the most part didn’t ... had he been playing at this level we couldn’t have beaten the KD-less warriors ... oh well too late now
CP3 is #9 in WINS, Harden is #2. These are cold hard facts. On the flipside, MVP conversation is all about narratives.
So you think Cp3 is better than Giannis, Luka, Lebron, AD? MVP is all about narratives but you gotta be making an impact to be part of the narrative. Hell is Cp3 more impactful than WB? Cp3 17.6 5 6.6 WB 27 7 7.3 Raw production is part of being impactful. When you only bring 17 and 6 to the table you may be extremely efficient but you can't say you are one of the most impactful players in the league.
