This is among the dumbest and idiotic takes of all time. There are maybe two or three players who are better than Harden and even that’s is debatable. The body of Harden’s work speaks for itself. Year in and year out he leads his team to a top 5 NBA record. For the past 4 years he finishes in the top 2 for MVP. Rockets have made deep playoff runs in 4 of the past 5 years in stacked and unforgiving western conference. He has won multiple scoring titles with video game level efficiency in spite of having endured long stretches of injured teammates. If someone wants to knock him for some of his previous playoff duds, fine but one doesn’t have to look too far back to realize LeBron’s duds or practically every other super star’s. The fact is Harden’s playoff ‘shortcomings’ have largely been due to bad luck. It’s not Harden’s fault that his team has rarely been healthy, and it’s definitely not his fault that KD decided to pull a weak move and stack the odds against the NBA. Harden is a bonafide top 2 or 3 player and anyone who leaves him off a first team NBA list is either a troll or a moron.

 

Agreed. I luv Luka’s game. i think he will be an all time great if he stays healthy and hungry. I also don’t have a problem with someone who would take Luka over Harden if they were gonna build a team (since he’s a lot younger). That said, at this point in time Harden is a vastly superior player. There’s really no good reason to pick Luka ahead of him in terms of accolades and awards...

Last bit of food for thought.
Harden scored 49 points on 20 shots while getting doubled the whole game the second he crossed half court. That is absolutely absurd. I don’t know any other player in the league today who can do that.
