Even during the best years of the Daryl Morey era, the Rockets GM has tried to chase stars, so imagine what the upcoming offseason will be like.

The 2019-20 campaign was an adventure before it even began for Houston. Mike D'Antoni has more or less been a lame-duck coach the entire year, Morey's support of protesters in Hong Kong nearly caused an international incident, and owner Tilman Fertitta makes questionable decisions with some regularity.

Perhaps Morey will pull another rabbit out of his hat and trade for a major star. Nobody expected him to trade for Westbrook or Chris Paul, yet both players have donned the red and white. At the very least, he'll rearrange the deck chairs around Harden and Westbrook this offseason.

Lots of good information regarding other teams but with Rockets they just throw up their hands and say Morey always surprises us every season so not even going to try and predict him. LOL

Not even a mention of EGo as trade option.

    Because nobody wants his contract.

We have nothing to trade, no picks, barely even any filler salary.

Highly doubt we make any meaningful trades.

For those that admonished "flexibility", rejoice, because now we have none.

I don’t think there’s any way EGO moves.... even with a draft pick nobody in the top of the draft wants to be in this draft let alone the bottom.

If he can find a way to get us J Grant or Ibaka I think we’re contending again next year

It's for future FRP, Rockets do not have a FRP for upcoming draft.

Miss the times when folks were high on drafting and having players on rookie contracts.

These past couple of years hasn't been great for the Rockets. Blame it on Fertitta or not, I don't have great faith that we line things up in a profitable manner. We keep losing a lot of picks.

I'd love to be wrong, though.

Picks are for the future, Rockets trying to win championships now.

Until Harden is put out to pasture, there is no time to develop picks. Unfortunate but it is our reality.
