I have to admit that I do admire your commitment. Your not screwing around lol. If Morey signs him, you may deserve some of the credit. Keep up the good work.
What would his contract look like had Morey bought it off waivers with a TPE? I'm asking partly because of Bolden's situation, but also just in general. tia Had we purchased the contract off of waivers, would we only owe what was left for this year? And second, I suppose when the previous team doesn't exercise Team Options (it was a 4yr contract, originally), the new team who buys the contract can't reinstate them??
Man it looks like he is the perfect fit on this team so I don't understand why no interest in him from us. A long big that looks mobile enough to give good effort on the perimeter and around the paint with a really good shooting stroke.... all that on a cheap contract!
Very good all handler, passer and most importantly a disruptor on defense. Need to improve our perimeter defense asap. https://theathletic.com/758462/2019...erges-as-sixers-best-option-at-backup-center/
Saw this post and thought it meant 'marques bolden' who played at Duke with Zion Williamson!?!? Marques bolden, the state champion winner from the Dallas metro area. Jonah bolden...wtf!?!? Smh
Yep. Looks to be everything we would want/need in a role playing big man for our system (long, active, smart, can shoot, can handle, good passer, court awareness, and on a cheap contract). I don't understand why Morey has not made a move on him with one of the roster spots. Maybe they are just taking a little more time to see who else comes free?
Bolden not perfect for 76ers system. But he is for Rockets system. https://www.inquirer.com/sixers/six...fs-boban-marjanovic-joel-embiid-20190403.html https://pickandroll.com.au/how-jonah-bolden-has-broken-out-in-the-nba/
Had they claimed him off waivers (which they could have done using a TPE), the Rockets would only owe Bolden the prorated remainder of his salary, which is very slightly above the minimum, plus had him for two more non-guaranteed years at the minimum. However, the guarantee dates for each of the next two seasons would've been the June 29 leading into each such season. Since the final two seasons were non-guaranteed, they just go away if the player clears waivers. Had a team claimed him off waivers, those non-guaranteed seasons would still exist. They're still just non-guaranteed.
