I have a hard time calling many modern players THE BEST not because of their lack of skill. They all have it!! The are highly skilled!
    but
because they don't play on a level playing field.

If Lebron is playing a scrub.
On a skill level the scrub . . has no chance . .skillwise.
BUT . . If a scrub beats Lebron to the spot . . a clear charge! he won't get that call
If a scrub strips him clean . . . He will get a foul called on him.
If a scrub gets by him and lebron fouls him to get the block
Lebron has a good shot of getting away with it.

If you are THE BEST . . . why do you need all the advantages
I know it is about TV, Ratings, Etc
but IMO it diminishes LeBron, MJ, etc

Why does THE BEST need to resort to such cheap theatrics
[The fact that this is allowed is why the NBA has diminished for me
More trying to GAME THE GAME than actually play the game]

There are NBA Calls, Important play calls, Star calls, and Superstar calls
Once you reach that next level . .you dominance over those below you is almost Ref Assured

lebron is the most disrespected superstar in the league (up there with dwight)

you breathe on durant and it's a foul and he's at the line 10-15 times a game.

even jordan stayed at the line (why do people act like jordan played on a level field?)

7.6 fta a game for someone like lebron who lives in the paint and is unstoppable is when he goes to the rim is a joke.

because of lebron's size and strength the refs don't give him the benefit of doubt most of the time (same as dwight) when he drives to the lane. i see why he does this **** sometimes.

It's "Kobe", not "Kobie" and "Mj" should be "MJ".

    :p

And Kobe should not be on that list. He should be on no one's "GOAT" list. It's like including Alonzo Mourning in a list of Hakeem and Shaq.

I agree with this. Although I also look at it this way. Lebron is enormous. He is strong, agile, and extremely quick for being a man of his stature. Do you think he would get any calls if he acted as if the foul didn't phase his shot (as in reality most don't)?

He can probably play and hit a shot thru any foul but if he doesn't sell it, the way sometimes Dwight tries to as well (with his yelp and arm flailing combo), he more than likely won't get the call.

Maybe we should take it up with the refs and have them learn how to call the game correctly. That could be an easier way to solve your problem rather than asking people to stop making Hulk Hogan babies that play bball.

    Just sayin.

The game has evolved faster than the league was ready for. If the refs falls for cheap tactics and flops to get their attention, thats on them and the league unfortunately, there is nothing we can do but hope that refs get better at recognizing theatrics on the court from the real deal.

I rarely see anyone contesting lebron's dunks or shots. He usually has a clear path.

Lebron averaged 7 free attempts this season. Let that sink in OP.
