He doesn't give a damn. That's pretty obvious at this point. He has never posted concern or empathy for any of those being hospitalized or dying. He's just like Trump.

The dumb son of a b**** actually said that? Seriously? Incredible. He takes no responsibility for allowing that long list of things that "happened" to happen. All of those things that as governor he could have, in large measure, prevented.

Abbott is like trump, who he is clearly afraid of. A bizarre, pathetic "mini-trump." Abbott sees himself as an "observer" of what is happening to his state, our state, while we are in the midst of the worst pandemic in over 100 years. Abbott has failed as governor. Absolutely failed his test of leadership. He's dithered, he's fumbled, he's been beset with uncertainty. When he has acted, it has always been ineffectually with half measures.

Greg Abbot, along with trump, shares responsibility for the deaths of thousands of Texans. Like trump, Abbott is incapable of admitting it.

...if they know what's good for them, they'll deny having given it out:p...

...(denial isn't just a river in Egypt anymore, nowadays)...

    ...bad for business...or enrollment...if you don't...

...wonder how many people are thinking twice now about those Wharton degrees, also?;)

Looks like bigtexx will have to find a new comparison when defending Texas' fast growing COVID-19 crisis...

All America needed was an oil change (a strict 3 month nationwide lockdown) to save tens of thousands of lives, and to quickly recover the country.

But no, we couldn't possibly afford an oil change, could we? Now our engine is toast, the human lives to pay for this fix is infinitely higher, and the time to recover the country will be much, much longer.

What was the real conservative, fiscally responsible choice? How long will he right accept being anti-science? How long will it refuse reality? How many lives will they cost us, how much time and money will they cost this country?

Ive just had a revelation that only when trump supporters (like bigtexxxx) get betrayed by their leader is when they will wake up from this trance. Pretty sure its gonna get worse... And the only way we are gonna get out of this divisive nightmare is when the other side wakes up.

I think they will just move on to whoever is the next darling of the Right. These are the same people who supported GW Bush whole heartedly, supported the invasion of Iraq, and called people "traitors" who criticized those. They now fully support a man who has spent much of 2016 insulting the Bush family and called the invasion of Iraq one of the worst mistakes of US history. They did so with no soul searching or circumspection regarding their previous views. It was like 1984 "The past was alterable.."

Governors like Beshear, Cooper in NC and Evers in WI are hamstrung by their state house. Those states had been dominated by the GOP for years and Republican state legislators are not willing to compromise with Democratic governors.

I wonder who from this event will be the one to put that post on FB telling people to “take the virus seriously...it’s not a joke...it’s not a hoax” from their hospital bed as they lie there struggling to breathe

Add Target to the list of retailers showing more concern for Americans than the president and governors...

A couple weeks back I went to Kroger for some items and turned round on the ball of my heel at the entrance when I saw no-mask dumbassery. Most customers wore masks but a few didn't. This was on the eve of Evil Abbott's mandate taking effect for mask-wearing.

Glad Kroger is waking up in their stores across the various states.

Hell, I could have tolerated any number of current Republican Governors as President. (NOT TX, GA, FL.) Almost half the American voters chose the scum of the earth instead.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has also had a hell of a time with Trump. The dude's trying to do the right thing. Months ago he got his Korean-born wife to help securing tests from South Korea, then had to hide the stuff from the Feds. This is a more recent article:

    You........can't............make............this..............s*** up.

I did see one or two masks among the dozens of fools who will wind up with the virus.

Why put yourself in that situation to begin with? Good Lawd.
