I heard Stephen A. Smith (yes SAS) bring up an interesting point, if we are all in with 4 future rounders for Jimmy Butler who may not be enough to take down the warriors. Why not offer 4 four first rounders + Clint for Anthony as he will certainly be leaving them? Wanted to know your thoughts?
I mean, if we have to trade four 1st rounders, Gordon, and even our homes, we might as well add Capela and trade for Davis.
There is only like a 1% chance that you can draft someone like AD with those first round picks. So yeah, you definitely have to do it.
Would even trade Chris Paul for him but they wouldn't want an older CP3. He is a better fit here. Weird trade though - CP3 back to New Orleans, he wouldn't like that.
Anthony Davis is an all around talent, I think Rockets should pursue Davis without adding Capela in the Deal. Gordon, Tucker, Knight, Chriss, Qi 4 1st Rd picks.
Pelicans say no to this. The only way New Orleans would trade Davis IMO was during this upcoming offseason if Davis told them he was definitely going to leave after the following year. Then (like Paul George and Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler) they would look to possibly trade him with one year left on his contract instead of losing him for nothing.
LOL is this a serious question? Morey would trade everyone/everything except Harden for Davis. But... the Pelicans would hang up the phone or just simply laugh continuously assuming Morey was making a stupid joke. Put it this way... Would the Rockets or clutchfans accept an offer of 4 first round pick from the Spurs/Clippers/Indiana or any other playoff contending team for Harden?
Anthony Davis is the player that can play like Capela but way more offensively, with more shooting, Pick and Roll and Pick and Pop, Davis can create for himself and others. Rebound, Shot Block. Clint Capela it seems like never improves his shooting, he has this weird hitch, push shot in his Free Throws. Daryl needs to be aggressive with the Pelicans not the Wolves. Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker, Clint Capela, Marquesse Chriss, Zhou Qi, Four 1st Rd Picks.
Capela, Gordon, Tucker and 4 firsts for Davis and Solomon Hill >> still wouldn't get it done, and I'd pull the trigger on that any time.
Nope. But who knows...why not offer it? AD>>>JB...and I like JB. JB is basically a poor man's Kawhi. AD is the equivalent of Kawhi, maybe even above.
Once the Pelicans make it clear that they are willing to trade AD, they can get a much better package then a whole lot of mediocrity. The 4 1sts are likely going to be in the late teens or 20's and none of the young players are going to push them to go deep in the playoffs. A team trading a bonafide top 3 player would want high ceiling young players or top 5 draft picks, and plenty of teams can offer better high ceiling youngsters than the bunch of mediocrity the Rockets can offer.
