    ...to get a fake championship ring. Sure, they won the title last year and yes they were handing out fake championship rings as a promotion, but it's pretty sad that this many people were willing to attend an Astros regular season game considering the weather and it was a weeknight. Check out the crowd atmosphere:

    But for the Rockets to get to reach this type of crowd environment? It basically has to be Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against the Warriors. Even the mediocre Texans don't have any problems selling out their games and having a packed house for the regular season.

    Embarrassing. Rockets' FO needs to get more creative especially with how to handle the corporate lower bowl.

    you realize the reason why this game was sold out, was bc when they announced about over a month ago, all fans attending would receive a ring, the ticket sales immediately skyrocketed and sold out

    this isn't random. the first giveaway where not everyone got a ring, people lined up days before the actual game to get the ring. that's why some people were upset at this promotion

    not really much of a comparison here. if this was just another reg season game, the astros game would have plenty of empty seats still

    Yep when a world title abd see what’s happens

    Hell it works I didn’t watch all but one single season Astro game last year [of coarse I watched the playoffs abd World Series] bit this year I’ve already watched 3 and went to 2

    yeah this was a horrible example. I'll just say OP didn't fully take into account all the circumstances that led to the attendance in last nights game

    Houstonians would rather get a fake championship ring on a Wednesday night in stormy weather than attend a playoff home game. That's pretty sad.
