No way its JVG since he’ll command a much higher salary than Silas and Lucas.

Consult with their players. That’s a good one.

Danuel House waiting for that call to give his opinion.

Maybe they should have “consulted” with the players from the beginning. Just cut to the chase.

    Harden picks _______.

Consult with players means harden and Westbrook. No one else’s opinion matters

Just hire JVG and get this over with. Maybe even bring in Mark Jackson as associate HC.......

JVG would at least bring credibility to this clown show.

Is Frank Vogel a good coach? Or did he have solid assistants around him? If Vogel would of had D’Antoni’s assistants would the Lakers have won?

I think it comes down to the assistants just as important as the coach

Can we also bring in Mike Breen too?

Harden is gonna have a career year from the motivation he gets hearing Mike Breen shout bang from the bench.

Mark will drill good defensive principles into our team after shouting "hand down, man down" for the 10th time during the timeout.

JVG will keep the team in good spirits and relieve pressure in crunch time with his off topic rants.

    Rockets finish 20-62.

Rafael is definitely an analytics guy like Morey.

Rafael, Monte and Eli are clearly the contracts & CBA loophole experts.

But the talent evaluation experts were Morey, Gersson and the recently departed BJ Johnson.

Who is left in Rockets organization that will be able to find the diamonds in the rough like Kyle Lowery, Goran Dragic, Robert Covington, Christian Wood, Deanthony Melton, Danuel House, etc.?

Or even take chances on former high lottery picks like Ben McLemore?

Or identify great deadline opportunities like Josh Smith, Austin Rivers, Jeff Green, David Nwaba and even Kenny Faried?

Patrick and Tillman apparently. I fear that the basic workflow will be Patrick and Tillman saying they want "x" player, Eli and company have to layout the work financially and bring the report to father and son. Then they say yay or nay

This is what scares me the most. Because the Fertittas know next to nothing about NBA basketball.

Shut up and listen is not just the name of TF's book, it sounds like his culture as well.

Agreed. So far, they seem to be casuals. And it doesn't help that business is the top priority (as opposed to a championship). We've already had one trade that didn't make a lot of basketball sense. The Rockets were among the top teams and the biggest threat to the Warriors super team. The super team breaks up, and someone decided to change the entire complexity of the roster. Tillman or Patrick probably watched some House of Highlights posts featuring Westbrook and just had to have him. Trading CP3 was one thing, but to give that many assets as well was crazy.

Bringing in Sam Hinkie as a consultant would be smart.

JVG hasn't coach in the NBA for more than a decade. He hasn't won a championship neither. So why will he demand a higher salary? He's no Phil Jackson, or Popovich...

Pretty sure that tweet is about the Dodgers game. So far, everything he’s said is true.

It's not that JVG would get paid that much more than the average NBA coach. But rather Tilman can probably go cheap with Silas and Lucas and pay them similar to Kenny Atkinson's contract. Atkinson only made $2.5 million per year while most other coaches made around $4-$5 million or more.
