It's that time of the year...where every win and loss takes an emotional toll on us fans.

Go 2-0 in the playoffs and we feel on top of the world...then it's 2-3 all of a sudden and we are thinking..this is it. End of the road.

This year I feel there's even bigger pressure for the Rockets to make it to the finals. Our window is now. Year 1 was last year. Anything but advancing to the finals is a failure.

    Let's do this!

    Step 1:
    Don't overlook the Jazz.
Step 2: After trouncing the Jazz, finish what we started last year and send those smug primadonnas and their media-propped dynasty fishing.
Step 3: Wrap things up, win a Lawrence O'Brien trophy, and don't let Les Alexander within 100 feet of it. (amiright, @tinman?)

If you are mentally ready for 0-27 you are mentally ready for everything.

    LOL just kidding. Go Rockets!

I will have a mental breakdown if you lose the first game and start really bad threads and get banned

Hey, it worked pretty well last year. We should probably also throw in a god/goddess of good health, too.

Looking at the regular season schedule. Rockets are a legit contender after you consider the win streaks that was had this season: 2 six game win streaks, 2 five game win streaks, and the late 9 game win streak when they beat golden state.

So that means over half of this season's 50 plus wins was won consecutively meaning MDA outcoached the opponent coaching staff top to bottom with harden leading the way.

I am not brimming with confidence, that is for sure. The Rockets can devastate teams. They can also go on a brickfest and blow huge leads. They are NOT a well-oiled machine. Both Gordon and Harden run hot and cold. They can scorch you with a barrage of threes, but they can also brick shot after shot. The whole team doesn't seem to know how to adjust when long range shots aren't falling. That is concerning. I am still waiting to see Harden put together a string of great playoff performances. One good game in a series is not going to cut it.

Yeah I feel you but you don't breakthrough until you do. The Rox have a lot to prove, but let's get on with it. I remember a beat up, floundering sixth seed coming together and rolling to a title for this city many years ago. Maybe our best player can get on that type of roll in this year, lead this squad and prove everyone wrong. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

I am not sure a true fan can ever be truly ready mentally. I remember in the first championship season almost wanting them to lose because I could not take it anymore. IIRC probably incorrectly all the series went to 7 games with many of the games down to the last minute.

We have to play bigger wings together vs. OKC. I don't like small ball vs OKC. But good news is that I thinks they self destruct before they get to us.

okc ****ed up things on their own anyway. they are way more inconsistent than the rockets. yes they can win against top contenders but not without literally running themselves to the ground just to get in the play off. reason why they are a first round exit team. they always enter the play offs either tired or semi injured from trying to comeback every game.
