He's working for SiriusXM now... so he's now getting paid to weigh in on possible outcomes on all NFL injuries. Most local shows have segments where they bring in a Orthopedic doctor to discuss it as well. Of course none of them are going to be directly involved. The ones that are directly involved have confidentiality issues in terms of how much they're not going to discuss. This is basically akin to discussions about coaching decision or how teams may be game-planning for one another... of course the talking heads involved are not "directly involved", but yet nobody questions their speculation on the umpteen pre-game shows on various networks.
everything you said is true and i still think its dumb. only thing dumber is shows about fantasy sports.
Maybe happy is too strong.. however, some people definitely feel a high level of vindication. Posters have been arguing for YEARS about this, which led to other arguments.... it gets emotional  Injury was a concern. I am HAPPY it's not our problem... and wish him the best.
As long as you're consistent. Every single sports analysis show is inherently "dumb". Experts that have no personal involvement, other than the fact that some of them once played the game... giving opinions and possible prognostic outcomes. No different than what this guy is doing (except in medicine, there's actually better documented evidence-based case reports of previous instances... and that's merely all he's offering up).
I like when the 610 shows have a medical professional on as a guest to talk about injuries, recoveries, etc. As long as the person states they haven't seen the injury or the injured players history their opinions seem relevant.

Interesting names on the cut list. Wasn't Manny Lawson a high pick? Nix gets nixed again. Justin Forsett seems like someone that can carry the ball, but heard he was trending down.
