I was Ok with this until I got to the part about KPap going to Charlotte.

I guess your idea here is not to give up the TPE in that deal and holding onto the NO pick ??

    I almost like it ....

    HUGE LONGSHOT
    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=q768vm2

Houston In: Gogi, Nick Young, Miles Plumlee
Houston Out: Terry, Capela, Dorsey, Garcia, Daniels, 2nd rounders, NOP pick

Boston In: Jordan Hill (I put in steve nash because it won't let me use Jordan Hill), Gerald Green, Ryan Kelly, Garcia, some 2nd rounders
Boston Out: Jeff Green, Rondo, Olynyk

Lakers In: Rondo, Terry, Capela, Pelicans 1st
Lakers Out: Young, Hill, Ryan Kelly, Rockets 1st

Suns In: Jeff Green, Kelly Olynyk, Joey Dorsey, Daniels, Rockets 1st
    Suns Out: Green, Plumlee, Gogi

    Hear me out.
    Rockets do it because:
Pass-first starting PG to set up offense, increase bench depth with Plumlee, Young and Beverly being on the bench. Give up garbage time players only. Honestly, Terry would be the only one missed dearly. Also, opens up roster spaces if needed.

    Boston does it because:
You get rid of Rondo and Green. Yes you lose a prospect in Olynyk but it opens space in their huge pile of PFs. some old vets to teach the young guys too. And you're sending all these players to a different conference, where you won't have to worry about them so much.

    Lakers do it because:
The lakers always think they have a chance. Regardless of how bad they are. Rondo to the Lakers would be an ideal move for them. And they get a decent 1st round pick too (probably gonna be around 12-14).

    Suns do it because:
Open up space at the PG for Bledsoe and Thomas. You now have a front court of the Morris brothers, Olynyk, and Len. Jeff Green would be the ideal 3 to take Gerald Green's spot. And you get some fillers and a late pick in the 1st round. Not terrible.

Each teams lineup would look like this:

    Rockets:
    Gogi/Harden/Ariza/DMo/Howard Bench: Bev/Young/Papa/Jones/Plumlee

    Lakers:
    Rondo/Kobe/Wesley Johnson/Boozer/Sacre Bench:Lin/Davis/Price/Ellington

    Suns:
    Thomas/Bledsoe/Green/Morris/Olynyk Bench: Morris/Len/Tucker/Warren

    Celtics:
    Smart/Bradley/Wallace/Sully/Hill Bench:Thornton/Bass/Green/Zeller/Evan Turner

Suns and Celtics get better by getting worse for a year.
Lakers get a piece to build around.
    Rockets push for title.

    Longshot/Pipe Dream

    If Only...

Not a bad idea, but the Lakers get far too much for giving up way too little. They give up scrubs for a 1st pick AND Rondo? That Pelicans pick should either go to Boston or Phoenix. Also, I think we could get Dragic and guys similar to Plumlee and Young (albeit in probably two or three seperate trades) while giving out much less.

Trade all assets to make a run for a championship now or trade Howard.

We still need a back up center, bad.

    Mozgov would be perfect.

I wonder what it would take to get Timofey Mozgov and Wilson Chandler.

Could you elaborate a little bit on this one? I don't quite understand the reasoning behind this... I understand why the Lakers would do this, but...

    1) Why are Rockets doing it?
    2) Why are Spurs doing it?

    Here is a thought:

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kfh2fo9

    Rockets In: Conley
    Memphis In: Rondo
Boston In: Pap, DMo, Adams, Canaan, Calathes

I think the hold up would be Memphis. But Rondo may fill their needs out of a PG better than Conley, since they have limited perimeter playmaking.

With this trade we would keep our picks while upgrading the PG spot. The next move would be to throw some picks and try to land a PF. Maybe David West.

Doubt it happens, but would love Conley.

Rockets out: K-Pap, JET, Capela, Canann
    Rockets in: Rondo, Brewer

    Celtics out: Rondo
Celtics in: JET, Mo Williams, NOP 1st round pick, HOU 2nd round pick

    Wolves out: Mo Williams, Brewer
    Wolves in: K-Pap, Capela, Canaan

Why Rockets do it: Rondo is our third star and Brewer helps out defensively when Harden sits

Why Wolves do it: get rid of two expiring contracts for 3 young players

Why Celtics do it: get 2 expiring contracts, a 1st round pick, and a 2nd round pick
