I'd be happy with turner and hawes...they wont give us picks and we'd probably have to throw in greg smith/dmo but that makes us a really deep team.

    bev/brooks
    harden/lin
    parsons/turner
    jones/casspi
    dwight/hawes

If the Rockets want both Turner and Hawes, they would probably have to throw in at least a 2nd round pick. Turner is their first scoring option and one of the candidates for most improved player.

The Celtics thing really just depend on what they want to do. Everyone thought they were tanking. If they're not, then Asik is perfect for them, and they'll pay up.

Side note, Humphries make too much money for salary to work. So it will have to be Bass/Lee.

Good point, the Boston fit is based on the assumption that they keep Rondo and try to rebuild around him.

Not if it was Asik + Dmo for Humphries + 1st rounder in 2014 (Boston having many).

With so many players out, Dmo's lack of minutes lately is inexplicable. He doesn't suck that much.

Well, McHale is coach, so maybe it's explicable after all.

Not true. Asik for Humphries works fine. 150% rule.

As soon as Asik requested a trade, I brought up the option of Hawes and Turner because they're two players that can help win now, and fill spots perfectly. Turner helps with perimeter defense and Hawes plays the 4/5 , better backup center than Smith, also can hit 3's.

We'd have to give up a lot more than Asik for us to get turner and hawes. Right now they're both expirings so maybe Philly would prefer the cap space or shop them around, they're both solid pieces.

But I would love those two players without losing anyone in our rotation besides Asik.

    Bev / Lin
    Harden / turner
    Parsons / Garcia
    Jones / Casspi
    Howard / hawes

Turner and Hawes bring toughness too which I definitely think our team lacks.

The post I responded to was talking about Lee+Hump or Bass.

Why in the world would Morey trade Asik for Humphries + pick, assuming that pick is heavily protected? Lee at least would be a veteran presence that can defend and backup Harden. Without Lee, the trade would absolutely no sense from our side.

Yeah, I don't see why the Rockets would trade Asik for Humphries + pick straight up unless they can turn around and use his expiring for something they actually need, but if that were the case they would probably just work out a three team deal with Boston and another team.

Young is a subpar 3pt shooter and a horrible Ft shooter, but has good size and rebounding skills and is a decent defender. Good trade imo except for cloase games in the 4th quarter. Having Young and D12 out there at the same time would be a hack-a-thon.

He's shooting 37.8% on threes while attempting 2.1 per game. It's not spectacular but it's not bad for the 4 spot. He's shooting 66% from the line this year and 69.5% in his career. Not great, but good enough to keep him in until maybe 2 minutes left if it's a close game. Besides, Terrence Jones is shooting 61.5% from the lines this year,Casspi is around 72% and Parsons is at 70% so I wouldn't say he's horrible from the line compared to the usual 4 spot players.

That is a massive upgrade overall interms of balance. Hawes gives our backup C position whole new offensive look with a guy who can shoot or a guy who can be a great passer for his size and Young and Jones are a great tandom. Would have loved to get Turner, but overall a great trade.

He is shooting roughly around the same as Jones from the 3pt line as well.

    Bad Trade? Are you serious?

If Hinkie calls Morey up and gives him that deal. Morey would take it in an instant. Plus he isn't losing any draft picks.

But Hinkie is not stupid. We would be a complete team and would have no need for a 3rd star. I believe a 3rd star could potentially ruin chemistry.

That trade is not happening. Guaranteed. Highway Robbery for Morey there!
