I know this whole Royce White saga has been draining and I actually also turned on him like most CFans did after all those asinine tweets, but as a fan, I'm willing to forgive and forget if he actually delivers! I actually am very excited that he is gonna play for the Vipers tonight so we can actually get an idea of whether he may have potential to make an impact for our team. It kinda feels like we got an extra 1st round pick in the middle of the season! Remember how pumped we were during summer league when all 5 rookies were looking good? Well, one was traded to OKC, another is a D-League allstar, another rides the pine, Machado was cut... Now the 5th rookie is seemingly working through his issues and is gonna PLAY!!! The team has transformed since those Summer League games and instead of being one of the worst teams in the NBA (like most experts predicted) we are looking like solid playoff contenders and one of the brightest, up & coming young teams in the NBA! With cap room and Morey's determination to find that next superstar PLUS Harden's recruiting efforts, things are definitely looking up! I haven't been this excited about a Rockets team since Yao Ming was drafted. Just last year, we had the hum-drum lineup of Dalembert, Scola, Parsons, Martin, and Lowry. Good guys, but I was bored to tears!!! This new look team has pizzazz, and youth and speed and endless possibilities! I say lets let go of all the "mental health" hatred and welcome our "newest" Rocket with forgiveness and enthusiasm. Ya gotta remember, a guy with "mental health" issues usually means he's kinda "crazy" so some of the stuff he says or tweets may come off a bit nuts. Cut the guy some slack and maybe we can contribute to his success as a Rocket as they claim their next championship!
