It's gotta be a mid-April baseball series. I know ESPN usually shows some restraint when it comes to overhyping things, but they sure didn't here. This is ridiculous. I hope all three games are rained out...
Yeah. Historic rivalries suck. Tradition sucks. Every team should be eliminated to make room for 30 new expansion teams to wipe away all of that annoying stuff.
Considering what happened the last time these teams met - and the subsequent arms race over the summer - this is a pretty big series.
Fox's production of this game is brutal. Scooter the Knuckleball? There is no word in the dictionary to describe how bad that was. The announcers are absolutely dreadful - long, meandering tangents and an almost steadfast refusal to discuss what's going on in the game. and now the Verizon guy. . . **** Fox.
Since I'm not in Houston I have no idea but, is the Rockets-Lakers playoff series being hyped much? I will be suprised if the Rockets even win one game
Judging by the way the rockets played the lakers in the season, no way is it overhyped. This game however is, but i can't complain, primetime baseball is primetime baseball.
The problem with a lot of so-called baseball fans is they don't understand that winning a game in April is just as important as winning a game in September.
I loved today's New York Post cover: I might have to cut out this cover and put it next to my Roger Clemens "What An Asstro!" one in my cubicle.
