I feel so, so badly for our medical workers. Also, recent studies of immune response to COVID-19 apparently confirm that some people, even if not hospitalized with illness, are left with an auto-immune issue. So that's chronic arthritis in certain joints or even lupus... for the rest of your life. It's not the flu, folks. Not at all.
And while trump and his admin are declaring victory over CVID-19 (despite 230,000 and growing deaths)...

I don't understand how insulated someone is to not know a single person who works in a doctor's office or hospital. You don't have to know a medical doctor or surgeon. Talk to a nurse (like @what's sister, or a relative of mine who works a COVID wing on the east coast) or an orderly, or a staff person, or a medical student, etc. They paint for you the real truth of what this disease can do and how bad the outbreak is. I guess if you have zero friends or family members who will talk with you and just listen to FoxNews and reinforcing twitter accounts, you could believe the death toll is greatly inflated. Otherwise, it's like a flat earth thing, or Q-Anon. EDIT: And this ignores knowing people were actually sick, as so many of us do! Sheesh.
