unofficial Black national anthem. This is too high on the list because I dont think features sould really counts. I'm still glad this is on the list though

Another random fact... This beat was intended to be for a remix of Rosa Parks before the lawsuit happened:

Jazzy Belle is too low on the list. That is unequivocal.

I loathe modern "rap", and and I'm not a big fan of early stuff or the barrage of gangster rap. Not saying there aren't songs I love, just that in general not a lot made my playlist.

But there was a period in the late 90s to early 2000s where hip hop was producing some God tier music. The Soulquarians, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, I could name quite a few more. Most of them kept making music, but they were at their absolute peak back then.

Outkast was probably at the top of the list. Their albums had such rounded creativity. Every damn song felt completely fresh, rapid flow to pure funk.

Lots of good modern rap out, check out Freddie Gibbs. Late 90's early 2000s was the worst era of rap, sorry.

    Nope

Thats some of Outkast best music and you had the rise of New Orleans rap.

    DMX
    JayZ
    MOP
    Missy Elliot

I can go on, yes there was a lot crap pop rap but there is a lot modern rap that's crap as well IMO.

Yes, still some good music but late 80s to mid 90s you could have an average group come out with a great album and there would be like 20 of those in a month.

I'll take the bait, some good choices here.

A lot of thier music was years ahead of thier time and could be argued as one of the most creative and successful Hip Hop artists all time. You can just play ATLiens and Aquemini albums as a whole.

I would say B.O.B is a classic with classic visuals,
    SpottieOttieDopaliscious
    Elevators
    Liberation
International Player's Anthem (On UGK's album but them together with Outkast made this a classic imo)

Then you have really original and creative tracks you could add

    Chonkyfire
    Prototype
Da Art of Storytellin (Parts 1, 2 or whichever really)
    Jazzy Belle

Suprised this hasn't been played yet:
