We will definitely get compensated. In the years to come, I predict our draft picks will be very high. o_O

I expect our compensation to outlast even all those picks. Wont it be great to be terrible?

That's just crazy. His contract was ending. It's not like he had another year left. Tilman likely wasn't going to rehire him. So if you don't plan to rehire Morey, then have some respect for Morey and yourself (ie Tilman) and let the man go find a new job.

Morey had several years left on his contract.

    MDA contract expired.

He had like a 5 year contract. He said he wanted to spend more time with family, and got away from tilman.

My fault on that part. I thought someone said it expired Nov 1st. Apparently not.

With that being said, Tilman and Morey's relationship likely wasn't going to work out after the HK/China comment and with Dantoni leaving (IMO). So it's a no brainer to let someone go or stealth fire someone.

What do you mean, Tilman was probably estatic that he doesn't have to pay Morey anymore. Why pay Morey many millions when you can low ball some noob with no GM experience.

    Just imagine the savings guys.

Its not a no brainer when he's literally the smartest man in your organization. Its a terrible decision.

I think Tilman know from the beginning, that's why he kept saying Morey wants go to the east coast. Probably just didn't want to pay Morey for 4 more years.

Nov. 1st is Morey's last day on job.

As for stealth fires, letting go/forcing out of an asset that greatly increased value of the commodity is extremely poor business practice.

Most franchises trade away such assets, to get something in return.

    Not Tilly.

If this is the case Rafeal Stone would be dumb not to get any sort of compensation for morey

Stone isn’t really an nba guy. He’s more of a make money on both sides of the trade work. He doesn’t know talent he knows how to make money work in trades. That gives me some skepticism

Plain and simple. Tillman wanted the China money and let him walk (probably helped push him out) because it makes Tillman more money in the short term with him gone. Tillman is broke.

I burst out laughing because this guy is one of the dumbest mother****ers I've seen. You have to be cocky and arrogant, but its hard to be so much so to the point you're delusional. How he became this rich is a mystery.

I think letting him walk and not paying him any money was the deal.

I've never heard of a GM transaction. Even the Coach trade was very rare.

I think the assumption is that front office teams aren't really a part of the tradeable assets since they are actually the ones that make the trades.
