Buck is confused by whatever metrics are being used.

Took me a while to find it, but it's one of my favorite interviews ever, and Tony Gwynn is possibly the best baseball interview ever (hat tip to Mark Grace):

Whole thing is great, but start at 3:20 for the story

In case anyone didn't know this, the finalists were determined ONLY by statistics this year.

None of the Rays players were nominated, and they made a stink about it. That's how I found out the selection process.

And that criteria is documented in the article in the OP.

Tucker is a good defensive outfielder.

He has the potential to be elite at his spot defensively.

He isn't there yet, but he is already good.

Is Jim Rome still a thing? Man I haven't listened to him in ages. I think he went off the air in Houston a while back.

Edit: Sure enough, he is. Just off the air in H-Town.

Correa is hands down the best infielder in baseball. Nobody is on his level.

Here is a toast to Yordan getting nominated next year. ;)

Francisco Lindor SS for Cleveland is getting all the Gold Gloves for years.
It bothers me,why Carlos Correa never won One.

Lindor is not getting one this year.

Also, 2017-2019 Correa had a hard time staying healthy.

I hope Correa wins, since he would actually be deserving.

I think this will motivate Carlos Correa even more.

Carlos Correa needs to break the All Time Home Run Record in the Postseason.

    The Writers being vengeful jerks.
