Good card all around. Khabib needs to go up in weight and fight Usman or a top welterweight.

But he's saying he's done. No Tony, no Conor rematch, no GSP. Retired at 29-0?

Khabib was a monster, never seen such a long period of pure dominance. I hate that he never fought Ferguson but the result would have been the same.

I guess Gaethje v Conor for the belt? That should be fun...

Maybe GSP mega fight but Khabib wants it at 155 and GSP is like no way -- 170 or nothing.

Jones has been a champ for close to a decade. Silva was champ for like 6-7 years. Same with GSP. Khabib has been a champ for 2 years and he retires.

True, and I thought of those two and GSP but the difference with Khabib is that the guy has only lost 1 round, to McGregor. Doesn't have any controversy with PEDs surrounding him like Jones and Silva.

For Khabib, it was pure dominance, has anyone even looked close to beating this guy? Conor stole a round, Tibau fought him close, everyone else never had a chance.

Only Jones had similar dominance but he was on roids. GSP would have been a great fight but he's too old and the weight difference is too much to overcome. GSP said it himself.

Why is Khabib retiring now? Is it mostly cuz of losing his dad?

He said his mom didn't want him fighting anymore without his dad, he promised her the Justin fight would be his last.

Tibau was clearly roided up for that fight too, body looked completely different in fights after that.

What's crazy is how easy khabib made it look. Against the cage and on the ground he's so many levels better than everyone else, and he was dictating the space against Justin on the feet. According to his AKA team mates, khabib's wrestling is basically olympic level.

I think gsp has the better legacy with the title defences and weight classes during his era, but if they fought today I think khabib wins easily. The sport is evolving so quickly. Don't think you can compare the pace and intensity of khabib's fights the last few years vs what gsp faced.
