    Harden didn’t force anything....if you want soomeone to blam then blame Tilman’s wallet. Hearing that NBA is paying remainder of Morey’s salary and we all know Lucas is dollar store cheap, so Tilman banks millions and millions of dollars. Fantastic business move that pays significantly for him and his family. Well done Tilman!!!

    Where does Houston's coaching search stand right now?

    The other Van Gundy brother, Jeff Van Gundy, who last coached in the NBA with the Rockets some 13 years ago, those conversations have continued from last week into this week. He's been at the forefront of that Rockets search. Daryl Morey stepped away as General Manager. So I think the ability of Jeff Van Gundy to get on the same page with ownership, the front office - Rafael Stone, the new General Manager - and have a sense that everyone can potentially be aligned there with how that might go. His conversations have continued with the team.

    Stephen Silas, who is an assistant coach in Dallas, is another prominent candidate. Still in this search.

    There is one internal candidate, John Lucas, who has a close relationship with James Harden, with the front office but Jeff Van Gundy has remained the focus of this. They're trying to figure out if they can get to a place where it makes sense for both sides.

    JVG is the only one with track record of success. Silas is completely unproven, Lucas is pretty much the same after 25 years since he’s last coached a winning team.

    I wanted Atkinson, but with these choices I’m pulling for JVG.

    Guaranteed Van Gundy wanted to trade westbrook and they said no. Remember he does not like point guards turning the ball over....

    Sounds like you are legit....my apologies JR. Just doesn’t seem possible with the Windhorst tweet from a few hours ago. My future as a Rockets fanatic is hinging on this hire. Must be Lucas or I’m gone....just kidding of course!!!

Favorite player all time is Lew Lloyd (rip) and friends with a former (recent) player on the team. You can verify all that with Clutch.     I would've liked JVG some years back but wasup with the Rockets going after these former head coaches its time for some new blood in here and someone who can develop young players bc lets face it this team is not contending with or without Harden
