I am currently on my 3rd pair after seeing some half price on prime day. 1st pair I dropped one of them and thought it was lost and then found it in my car. 2nd pair one of the earbuds will not hold a charge 3rd pair works great. I got these. Yes I am cheap. Thinking about getting some for a couple of my grandchildren, they want airbuds but they are much too expensive for early teens. Any others I should look at?
I have gone through three pairs of Samsung Buds for the same reasons in the same order, though I've had zero problems with the + version of the buds which I now have two sets of. The version I had that refused to hold a charge were the version before the +'s. They are not budget friendly but I've stuck with them because they've been the best I've bought at not having signal issues once I'm outdoors and don't have walls for the Bluetooth signal to bounce off of and they never have issues charging due to not being able to properly connect to the contact charger. I went through a bunch of budget and higher end true wireless headphones and had connection issues outside with almost all of the other brands I tried, the Samsungs never drop outside. One JBL pair I had were ok outside and had better bass then the buds but the case was poorly designed and the contact charging stopped working on them. The Samsung Buds+ are also literally the only pair of headphones I've had with my Galaxy S8 that people haven't made me switch off of bluetooth because I sound like I'm in a tunnel, including the non-+ version of the Buds. With all of that said though to get back to the original question I am curious if anyone found a cheaper pair that doesn't have these various issues.
I never really had any of those issues and I really only use them for listening to podcast. These last ones sound great but have not used for calling.
Manufacturer refurbished Jabra 65T for $45 is really good value. https://www.jabra.com/refurbished-products/bluetooth-headsets/jabra-elite-65t##100-99000071-02 Though I don't remember if they came in good enough looking packaging to be used as gifts though. They're also not very stylish if their preferred style is airpods.
https://www.jlabaudio.com/products/...MI_pG_i5bG7AIVlMDICh3oug47EAQYCSABEgJhifD_BwE I went through two pairs of these in a year but I'm rough on tech and I sweat a lot when I workout/run. I bought a pair for my kid and she's been using them without issue since March. I personally switched to Samsung galaxy buds, super durable, I can wear them in the shower and they have great sound quality. They run for about a buck twenty but I'm sure you can find some cheaper that have been refurbished
I don't know the answer, having struggled to find decent affordable earbuds myself, but maybe this 10-minute video will help:
That link you posted has them at 30 bucks. I have read good things from Jlab. Don't really like that top they fall out of my ear more than the others.
Costco has a set of jabras on sale this month. Haven't bought them yet but if I do I will report back.
That was one thing I really hated about jlab, they do fall out a lot, especially while running. What my daughter did was she put on some different sized ear thingies on them, she only wears them for music and to watch stuff on her phone but she says they're more secure than with the original thingies.
I like a good wire too. I also bought a wired pair too for kicks. Nothing special just your basic wired headphones.
Im the type to lose glasses, sun glasses. nice pens, what have you that isnt attached to me or attached to something on me. No way I would have 2 ear buds for more than 2 days. max.
Got my wife some Bluetooth earbuds with charging case from Monoprice for Christmas. She loves them. They were $99 when they launched and they’re on sale for $20 right now. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=30878

This is hilarious I just lost one of my earbuds again, my car ate it, I know I will eventually find it but I was swearing off on getting anymore and was just going to use these that I have had for over a year. But I can't pass up a deal and might just order some for my older grandkids. And me.
