So sad! Talk about an end of an era. Les gone, championship trophies gone, morey gone, d'antoni gone and now one of the last remanence of our history/ culture gone. What a sad time to be a Rockets fan. Rest in peace BJ! You were respected and loved!
Wow. 2020 keeps getting worse. My condolences to BJ's family and all of his friends, NBA players, and fans. So much death this year...and yes I have had it in my family too. Please God make 2021 better.
Best wishes to his family. He clearly left a far reaching legacy. Rough time to be part of the Rockets world.
2+ years owning Rockets and he still doesn't know the guy that everyone loved and revered the most. BJ Johnson was part of the Basketball Ops team that Tilly met with when personnel decisions were being decided. But Tilly even admits he didn't know half the guys running the Rockets. Tilly really is Trump's twin.
Awful news I had the pleasure of meeting bj a few months ago, he was a good dude. He was in training camp with the rockets in either 83 or 84 I was told, If someone has more knowledge on that let me know.
I've never even heard of him before today, but after reading all of the genuine tweets/comments about him from his peers I can honestly say that I'm saddened to hear that he's no longer with us. The world needs more people like Mr.Johnson to be beacons of light in this dark world. He loved people and people loved him back! I'm not the easiest person to get along with, but when it's my turn to go, I hope that at least one person besides my family says: "He was a good friend and I'm going to genuinely miss him"... Footprints, some of us leave colossal ones and some of us leave hardly any at all. The Greatest man that I know once said: "Love one another" ... clearly he was on to something! "Que en paz descanse!" Mr.Johnson ....... ....... .......
