JVG should stay far away from this clown show. As a younger guy, Silas can get some HC experience here and eventually move on to a team with an owner that doesn’t carry a vile haze about him. I don’t want to see JVG’s reputation tarnished by the Ferttia disease.

Why is JVG anywhere close to being better?

OTOH, Tilman seems obsessed with putting stars on the court and fans in the seats. IIRC, that was part of his motivation for the Harden-Westbrook double MVP combo.

Van Gundy might be the star-power pick for coach, even if Silas would do the better job.

I know that it’s not going to happen, but I would love for it to be....

JVG as HC on a 2 year deal.

Silas as Associate HC with the understanding that he will take over after JVG’s contract is up.

Lucas receives a promotion to assistant coach.

JVG I think wins out because he will push the players. The players and gm will probably decide on Lucas

Hope it's JVG. The man still lives in Houston, he loves the city and he left the organization on amicable terms. He deserves a shot at bringing home the championship.

To me you have to have a happy Locker Room, the Texans are happy without Bill O Brian

Every postgame Jeff Van Gundy wins, Jeff has angry or tired negative facial expressions, its like they got blown out by 40 points.
    Which is so weird.

Bill O Brian and Jeff Van Gundy are very similar in Bringing Bootcamp Army mentality in which players get angry.

Who else has a choice? Fertitta got rid of the only person in the organization with the balls to disagree with him. I don't know who he wants, but he'll be picking the guy. I'm sure Becky Hammon isn't anywhere on his radar screen, so a guy it will be. I just hope it isn't Lucas.

Lucas could be our Nick Nurse. As well as Silas

Why do you like Atkinson so much? 4 years with the Nets and moderate improvements. Friction with players. Ball sharing system not conducive to our stars.

4 Royce Whites and 1 Terrence Williams would reflect him.

    Ronny Artest and Terrence Jones.

He’s got 200 more wins as a head coach. Silas hasn’t coached a game in his life. No need for training wheels here, if our goal is the Finals this year (which is my goal with a two 31 year old superstars).
