As bad as politics is historically (in terms of dividing ppl), social media has made it 10000× times worse.

Yeah - I never understood it. Regardless of who I vote for, I've never seen a political candidate from any party that I liked so much that I would want to put their sign up in my yard.

A competition of "who has no penis, hence the tires"?

But yeah, the nut jobs are out there. It's not just the rednecks, oh no. We'll just say young men of whatever race up until the age of, oh, early 30's, those good testosterone years, God bless'em........

Anyway, they will pull all sorts of stupid maneuvers, and if you react at all, they are easily torqued. You are encroaching on Alpha male territory. God help you if you honk at someone who zoomed 45 degrees at 50 mph on FM 1960 as it meets I-45 N (purely hypothetical, ahem) across three lanes in front of you because he (would have) missed his exit and so forced you to stand on your brake pedal so the two of you wouldn't be in a high-speed accident. Then actually stopped his car in traffic to glare at you but didn't have the space to back up and chase you down.

    Not an isolated thing, either.

    Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesus.

LOL Stay there long enough and you will realize people are "triggered" everwhere.

I have been almost every where...... and Western Europe and the USA and Canada are about the same on the "triggered" scale, the difference in the USA is everyone there is gleeful to discuss it and share videos.

Your first mistake was going to Sam's Club. I avoid Walmart and Sam's Club for a reason.

When was the last riot based on a view conservatives didn't like?

I assume the Conservatives didn’t like Floyd getting killed. So, I’ll go with that one. Or are you saying that Conservatives did like that Floyd was killed?

Conservatives don’t usually riot... they typically blow up government buildings killing women and children, shoot up churches and attempt to kidnap governors.

I will not be in the USA on Election Day and a few days afterwards... I don’t want to deal with rioting in the street by liberals and minorities, I don’t want to deal with an insane President possibly refusing to leave or right wing idiots in militias trying to kill or maim people.

I've been to Sweden a few times over the years. In 1971, I was in the Alps with a girl up in Grindelwald, in Switzerland, staying at an incredible youth hostel up on the side of a mountain overlooking the village, across from the Eiger. We met a Swedish guy not far from where we were staying while on a walk, who was sitting on the grass playing Mozart on an Irish flute. Got to talking with him and we hung out together for a couple of days, hiking up to the glacier (wonder if it's still there?) and drinking in the village.

When he left, he gave us his phone number in Stockholm. After about 6 weeks we ended up there, called, and he put us up in his apartment. Turned out that his father was a psychiatrist, his parents living in a fantastic house just outside of the city. Had dinner at their house. His Dad was wearing a suit that looked like the one the guy in 2001 was wearing on the space station. I thought that while we all had dinner, but kept it to myself. You're lucky to live in the country. So many people here don't realize what other advanced countries are like, some more advanced than our own.
