it depends on many variables ,which province and how remotely the patient reside or what's the family physician referral emphasizes, for BCCANCER if it contain "Must-Urgent" for new patient, appointment can be placed on urgent spot (1-4 weeks) ,if nothing urgent, most specialists are fully booked for 2-3 months in advance

Poland is ****ed, just like the rest of Eastern Europe that was dominated by a Soviet system for 50 years...they're making progress though.

The destruction of Civil Society that led to the "every man/family for himself" motto (literally, if you could find, chisel, or trade, that was for yours, **** the other guy you got it from, and the State ain't giving you **** other than a breadline), pretty much the total antithesis from actual communism, but that's how it worked in practice, it's gonna take some time to work through all that.

Poland has an incredibly educated middle (and upper) class of people. They need people who will build what the engineers tell them to, but moreso they need a government who will fund these projects and see them through with minimal graft.

There's a massive right-wing political movement in Eastern Europe (Europe in general), a pushback against immigration from the eastern med/north africa/middle east... That's why I would not think about Krakow or any places in Continental Europe generally, at the moment, I think things will get unpleasant there before they get better.

@thegary @Nook I could by exaggerating, because of Basil Haden Whiskey. Set me straight as needed.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
    ― Hunter S. Thompson

Even though we disagree, I still want to hang out for burgers and beers and sports again someday. I miss all yall Houston yayahoos.

I spent a week in Poland and have a few Polish friends. One of my favorite countries to visit. Women are also beautiful. Here is a my generalization of it. Great place with great people, but they are eternally cynical (for good reason) and love to complain especially when they are drunk. It's an official past-time. I also love Bison grass vodka and apple juice.

Texas is probably the greatest country in the world, if i ever left I would probably chose Colorado in the United States. I think I would enjoy the mountains and weather there. Also, still close enough to drive to Texas.

After the debate last night, I'm thinking Canada. Maybe Toronto because that is where two of my favorite people are from. Yes, those lovable bandmate best friends from Rush. :)

All of this is 100% correct.

Zubrowka and apple juice was a revelation to me. You ever get to try any homemade wiśniówka ("vishnewvka"), sour cherries and sugar soaked in spiritus (polish everclear)? Holy crap that stuff is delicious and dangerous.

Japan: Pros: technologically advanced, safe, clean, and a super good food. Cons: incredibly racist towards non Japanese outside of the major metro areas. You're going to live in a tiny box that may or may not have air conditioning.

UK: Pros: great history, mostly nice people, universal health care, speak English. Cons: you're standard of living will be 15%-25% lower than a place like Houston, no matter where you live, high taxes to pay for "free" healthcare, where you live greatly divides how good your healthcare is...think school districts...you have to live in the "right" medical district.

France: Pros: relaxed lifestyle, amazing history, great food, government takes care of you Cons: depending on where you live, giant cost of living increase, once great parts of cities like Paris have become trash ghettos of poor immigrants that have no interest in joining French society, hard to find good work

Canada: Pros: clean, safe country with many advantages of a place like the US without the terrible politics, universal healthcare, etc. Cons: lack of diversity compared to the US, hard to start or run a business yourself, high taxes, healthcare is great until you get REALLY sick, then you're flying down to Houston Medical Center or crossing the border into Seattle with the thousands of other Canadians staying there for their advanced medical treatments.

With the insane amount of tropical storms the past year I’m souring on a tropical destination unless it’s a self-sustaining bomb proof compound fifty feet above sea level.

    Canada vs US
from financial perspective : if you make around 50k , Canada is a better choice, around 100k its a toss , if you make above 200k the US is far better choice .
from antisocial prospective : less people in Canada
    from weather prospective : US
scenery : once you get fed up from mountains , its Mexico all the way
Health Care : despite common misconception , they're equivalents but one system will keep your wallet lighter

best of both world for retiree : winterize in US , summertime in Canada

Does 50k get you anywhere in big cities in Canada?
I know Toronto is insanely expensive to live in. Probably not much different than New York or San Fran
