The GOP is definitely very worried and scared that they could lose TX. They wouldn’t try such blatant BS like reducing drop off locations down to just 1 in places like Harris County if they weren’t. Honestly, I see that just angering citizens and encouraging them to come out and vote even more.
They also got rid of straight ticket voting. They know Trump is unpopular. Still 750k is a large mountain to climb. East and North Texas are still very populous.
Also currently trying to kill the extra week of early voting Abbott added. Still haven't decided if I want to go next week or just wait a week.
They don't want to be told what to do...and will use the Post Office, Schools, and public forums to voice their displeasure!
My granddaughter will be in Florida with us during the election. She is filling out the form to request a Texas absentee ballot. They could have easily made the form less confusing.
538 has it at 27 in 100 chance, so it’s possible. If indeed Biden win by 10+ pts nationally (few recent polls show him with momentum and up 13-14 pts), it’s quite possible.
If Biden wins Texas, it will be a landslide. Biden will win other so called swing states by bigger margins. Texas will only be a percentage point or two. Florida & Pennsylvania will be win by 5+%.
I got too many gen-X and millennial classmates reposting on Facebook about "negativity" or "caring less about how you vote than about how you treat those who don't" to take that flyer just yet. These are the same people who admonished that Trump was "clearly joking" back when he told people to drink bleach and let the sun shine in to their internal organs. Oil and gas stuff also complicates things, probably what partly did it in PA four years ago, too.
