How much has Meyers Leonard played? He is Heat's only true 7 footer.

Both 6'9 Bam and 6'10 Olynyk are non traditional centers (under 7'0).

Spo IS a better coach but he is still playing small, just like every team in playoffs in 2nd round and up (except for Denver).

I really dont understand when people say morey needs to go...regardless of us falling short...much of our success is due to him being here...and yea i get it we want to get a championship...but taking morey out of the equation would be dumb...look at the texans for good measure (granted that is an extreme case).

the saying "traditional centers" is over rated, it doesn't mean you have to have height to play the position. Charles Barkley was 6'4 and played PF

6 pages but I am sure it’s been repeated several times. If the Rockets were in the East they probably would have been in the finals several times in the Harden era.

Barkley was unique, was he not?

    Certainly not a traditional 4.

What success? more than 13 years in a position to run a team without final once, you call that success? that should be close to a NBA record, I think.

How many Finals, hell WCFs even, did Doc have as GM again?

As for records, I think MJ might have Morey beat by a mile.

MJ is an owner, not a GM, for the record.
Which Doc? if you are talking about Doc Rivers. Clippers should fire him a few years ago.

if your ultimate goal is lose in conference finals, you should be happy about that, I guess.

So every GM should be fired if they do not reach Finals after 5 years on job?

How many years has it been since Bufford (Spurs) was in Finals?

Traditional or non traditional refers to play style rather than height. Kelly Olynk is 6'11 so if he wears 1 inch shoes he is a traditional center and if he doesn't then he is a non traditional center is that what you mean?

Dwight Howard and Clint Capela are both only 6'10 so they are non traditional centers as well? I guess Orlando was playing small ball during the Dwight Howard Era and they never knew.

I am not sure about 5 years, but I am sure 14 years is too long. if you are talking about Clippers, They needed a new coach for a change before they broke up their core that took a lot of years to develop. Clippers simply made a very stupid decision then.

as for Buford, He was hired in 2002, 18 years, 4 rings. Good enough for his position, or maybe you think Morey deserves more credit without a single ring or even could not earn an opportunity of lose in final?

    Yes, play style.

Olynyk is not a rim protector due to his short wingspan (less than his height). Olynyk is a hybrid player, more power forward than center. While he has some post moves, he lacks length & explosiveness so is more efficient from perimeter with decent 35% 3ball.

Bam is a point center, non-traditional.

Dwight and Clint may have different skillsets but both have only played center, as close to basket as possible - on offense and defense.

Again, all GMs need to be replaced in 5-10 years if team never plays in Finals?

That is a call for a lot of terminations if so.

not sure. There is no other current GMs on their position for more than 10 years and never made finals. Morey is the only exception, 14 years.
