I did not think of that, but similar to the offense we want to run.

Yep he would be cheap for Tian and ideal for Moteybto keep his system in place. Everybody’s happy but us the fans.

A safe hire that will ultimately get them nowhere.

He was scheduled to talk to rockets next week. Sixers backed up the truck and gave doc whatever he wanted so long as he didn't interview anywhere else. They knew who they wanted and went right for him.

Rockets dodged a bullet there. Can't replace a coach who doesn't make in game adjustments with a coach who doesn't make in game adjustments. who cares how big of a name he is. bad fit.

Gentry joining as an assistant gives them what they wanted from MDA, who was their first choice until doc got fired. Unfortunately the rockets wanted gentry as an associate HC to run the offense here, but they have to get the HC in place first. slight loss there, however morey and harden are the offense. more important to find a solid defensive assistant. Plus Silas is very strong offensively.

in 2016 Morey wanted to go with Silas as HC and Hollins for AHC. Silas bringing the offense and hopefully game management. Hollins bringing the defense and head coaching experience.

Lionel Hollins is interesting. A lot of people are crediting him for the Lakers defense even though Vogel is also defensive ace.

So Doc does not really have a system, sucks at adjustments, does not have temperature of his players, makes no adjustments, F's up the rotation of deep talented veteran team built to win it all, cannot inspire beyond 2nd round of playoffs ......

And is clueless when it comes to drafting players, never mind developing young players into all stars.

    So happy 6ers hired him.

He was just for that big 3 Celtics team. He was a rah rah coach there really the team was just great. If he was a great coach he would have won at least 3 titles with that Boston team.

He was the same coach that coached McGrady and the Magic and who gave up a 3-1 lead against Detroit. Given that Detroit was eventually becoming a champ team in the next years.

Nothing this franchise has done since Hinkie left has made any sense. Colangelo mucked things up but Elton Brand put the grenade on top.
