If he dies it won’t matter because he has the pre existing conditions of being old and obese right? Technically he wouldn’t be dying of Covid, but rather his obesity and age right? Wish him and his family well, but what a ****ing disaster he has been as president, especially during this pandemic.
Pence was part of the administration that downplayed this entire pandemic. I don't see how Trump getting ill from a hoax helps Pence. He's been complicit.
I don't think he will have very severe symptoms. And then it will just embolden him and those people.
It his base. But let’s be honest his base is not his concern. It is the independents he needs to get. This will put the coronavirus in fore front. His lack of seriousness of COVID is now tangible.
This is my biggest fear just because 2020 keeps jumping us and stays on our necks. Trump comes out of COVID virtually unscathed, his supporters will deem him Tang Superman and think he is invincible and un-killable. We all know the Republicans are great at politics. They will spin a healthy Trump after COVID. They will say we told you COVID was no big deal. They will open up the country even more and more people will die. 2020 is pulling an okie doke, you just know it, because 2020 is a big ass b****.
Trump is a cult of personality and the fervor for the administration would not be as high with Pence as it is with Trump. Hell, I don’t even know what process would be if he kicked the can so close to the election. The first thought that I had when I read about this is that it’s awfully convenient that this happened after he took a massive **** during the debate. I could see this as a possible “out” for future debates but it would be cutting his nose off to spite his face with a month left before the election. To that end, I don’t agree that this is good for Trump or the GOP and see a huge upside for the Dems. The hoax pandemic seriously incapacitating or killing the sitting president that intentionally downplayed the risk to the population while putting them in harms way all the while knowing that it would (and did) kill tens of thousands of innocent Americans would be so ironic that Alanis Morissette’s head would implode.
While Pence was part of the admin, he wasn't the boss. He can argue that Trump didn't listen to his advice but since now he is the boss, he can change some policies to win more votes from the independents.
