All you said was that there's not many players aged 24 or younger taking their teams on deep playoff runs. You didn't say anything about winning it all or whatever.

The majority of the conference finals teams this year (Denver, Boston, Miami a bit less so) all feature players around age 24 as centerpieces as opposed to auxillary pieces.

The Rockets need to ride it out with Harden same way the Mavericks did with Dirk. Eventually the odds will be in our favor for once and we'll get that ring one day

Agreed. I could see an older Harden still getting a ring here in a couple years

Dirk was 33 when they won, so that window is closing. Most experts consider an athlete's prime to be late 20's early 30's.

It was actually this year when GS decided to take a year off. But Tilman decided to get worse, crippled the franchise with assets, and married themselves into a supermax broken jumpshot loser as his running mate, so there goes that. The odds are much worse going forward

the heat weren't even in the playoffs last year. the 2016 rockets were 41-41 with a super dysfunctional team and 2 years later we were 65-17 and beating the durant warriors. lots can change in a year or two. doesn't mean it will, but things can get better quickly. if things go well while we still have harden, we could be a championship team. if things go well after we trade him for 75 cents on the dollar and hope that a draft pick works out, we might still be a 2nd round team and still hoping to build for 5 years from now. you just don't give up top 5 players unless they force their way out, because it's very difficult to win the trade, and almost impossible to win it in the short term.

I dont see Harden getting a ring, but I know he has done more for Houston than any other player since Hakeem.. it would be hard to let him go but understandable if it happens.

    Yes they can.

Once a rumour gets started everybody starts running with it.

    Not you Nick.

Yes KAT is a loser, Butler told everybody and he has not even led a team out of the lottery.

How the hell is that a solid offer in this draft?

    Just no dog.

What are some of the things that could go well with this team as currently constructed? Like worst case is going into the new season and we don’t sign anyone of significance nor do we trade any players that are on the roster right? What things could break in Houston’s favor that raises this team’s ceiling?

In a twisted way, it does make sense if Morey ever loses his mind and decides to move on from Harden. CP3's contract expires earlier and keeps us in playoffs contention with KAT and whoever our number 1 pick ends up being. Morey still likes CP3. Problem for the Hawks guy is that Morey likes Harden more than CP3.

When has a KAT led team ever been in playoff contention?

This draft is a total crapshoot we are just as likely to get a Wiggins than a all star level player.

There is no way a westbrook for CP3 trade happens I don't know why why anyone would even think that makes sense.

I don't run with narratives, it's that type of thinking that makes people look like doofuses trying to say Harden can't play D, wouldn't be a star without "scamming the refs" etc.

Towns is only 24, and has shown he can consistently put up 25 & 12 on incredible, Harden/Curry level, offensive efficiency. His game of being a center who can knock down 3+ three's a game at 40% is very valuable in today's game as well.

He was a loser in the playoffs against us at 22 years old, Clint ate his lunch, but I'm not going to declare him a loser based off of 5 games at 22 on one of the worst organizations in the NBA, KATS had 3 different coaches in just 5 seasons.

I'm not going to declare him a loser of JB's comments either, again the Twolves organization is a mess firstly, and secondly, KAT is again, only 24. What he could be on a good team, with a great coaching staff, as he matures and grows as a player, is a mystery at this point, he has tons of potential to improve his already incredibly skilled game.

Who said anything about KAT leading? It would be CP3 in that terrible alternate universe.
