Yall shouldn't worry too much about the Rockets signing Doc Rivers. Its not likely to happen. Why? Doc made 11 million last year. He's been one of the highest paid coaches the past half decade. They were up 3-1. What you’re talking about is a half of a game 7 that shouldn’t have been played. This isn’t Quin Snyder and the Utah Jazz. If you’re led to believe that Doc Rivers is an elite coach then he should not have had his team in that Game 7 scenario to begin with. And this isn’t the first time a team coached by him has collapsed. If it was a one time thing it’s easier to dismiss.

Rivers shat the bed, period. Ballmer gave him a roster that SHOULD have went to the WCF at the very least this year and he shat the bed. Rivers went from having a broken, maxed out Blake Griffin as his top player 3 years ago to a roster with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George and couldn't manage to put away a less talented Denver team.
No, if that report is correct, then Rivers was right about that roster being flawed with the biggest flaw being Paul George who disappeared during the playoffs. This is supposedly a Steve Ballmer decision and to be fair Doc just blew his 3rd 3-1 lead in the playoffs. He's a good coach but that team under achieved and had severe chemistry issues. The Clippers have mortgaged their future to put together this team and simply don't have the luxury of time to waste with both Leonard and George being able to walk next summer. The clock is ticking very loudly for that franchise.
If Paul George was the problem, then they are stuck. Getting PG was the reason Kawhi would join them. So it's not just one player. They are stuck with Leonard and George just like we are stuck with Harden and Westbrook. There's no way to significantly improve the team by getting rid of either of them. The only thing they can do now is try their best to improve around these two guys.
