Way too much $. Either Fertitta’s dumb kid will be coaching or an ex-community college coach

Doc Rivers was really trying to act like he’s Pop at times in these playoffs. Clippers would be in the midst of blowing a big lead, and he’d just sit there with his hands folded like “they gotta play through it.” Like the Clippers were this team full of championship experience and great leadership. They were led by Lemon Pepper Lou, Kawhi2-D2, Pandemic P, and Bev, the barking chihuahua. U call a timeout. When MDA would do the same, he’d be getting called all sorts of names in the game thread.

In fairness I don't think Doc was trying to emulate Pop anymore than Rivers was really clueless on what adjustments to make so he never bothered to call a timeout.

Hey, The Warriors blew a 3-1 lead and got Durant the next year. I'll take it.

I want Doc as the head of basketball operations. To be our Pat Riley or Jerry West.

I want him to pick the coach. Sam Cassell is who he likes, that's fine.

They blew a 3-1 lead and went out and got a Hall of Famer that eventually led them to two more rings. If Doc Rivers has a future HOFer that can do that, sure, sign me up. Otherwise:

My sarcasm detector is in for repairs so I apologize if this is meant to be sarcasm. But I'll play along....Doc Rivers as Head of Basketball Operations? The same Doc that gave a broken Blake Griffin a max contract only to be rescued by Jerry West and later get stripped of front office duties?

    He was essentially acting GM.

I want to pay Doc big money to be the face of the franchise.

    Tilman would never do it.

He's the guy who makes sure the right guys are hired. Morey can handle the minutia.

Its never that easy. He went against stacked lakers of Kobe&Phil Jackson. MDA would tell KG to stay in the corner

My God, all anyone here b****es about is how the Rockets can't close out games, don't have a plan at the end of games, and how they have no killer instinct. Yet, you have mofos on here clamoring for us to go get the whiniest, chokiest, gimmickiest, planless coach of them all??? What in the absolute ****.

Tilman can afford any coach on the market. Will he be willing to?

    Nope. Still want this guy...

Laimbeer is on his way to his 4th WNBA title in a couple of weeks. Give me a pitbull as a head coach. This team organization needs a pitbull. Change this soft a** culture.

    nah.

If he crashed and burned with that Clippers roster, he stands no chance here.

He made the guys we dumped look like all stars.

Bev, Lou and Trez looked awful when MDA was here that last year. They didn't get the minutes or put in the right position.

Now they are the dawgs on that team that made them deep enough to attract two top 10 players. you can't look at things in a vacuum.

Doc Rivers' teams underperform and get complacent no doubt but they are in the position to be let downs because he allows guys to play their game.

    In the nba history
37 head coaches have chances to coach MVPs or Superstars

My rankings In deep playoffs run.
    36 Doc Rivers
    37 Mike D’Antoni

Both coaches are terrible on both offense and defense.

If you have mvp or superstars on your team you are supposed to overachieve, but both are huge underachievers.
