I'm confused and not sure. ESPN has this line thrown online: Chicago White Sox (35-24) Potential seeds: 2, 3, 4 or 7 • If they win, the Twins lose and the A's win: No. 3 seed. Plus if both CWS and A win, isn't the tiebreaker intradivisional record where the A's would be ahead of the CWS (26-14 vs 26-15)?
You’re correct. I’ve been looking at these tiebreakers too much...I skipped the divisional record and went to last 20 infra-division record.
Also I really really really don't want to face the Twins at their home. Sure anything can happen in a 3 game series, but those are slim odds.
I'm now rooting the ignominious record. Also, because it will be great if they follow that with a deep playoff run and break some other teams' hearts.
Rox won their second title as a six seed.... just saying #DoubleClutch Also, Spurs won their first NBA title during the lockout shortened year, no one puts an asterisk by that title. Still counts for Pop, Duncan, and The Admiral.
HUGE Collection of trash....DeJong,Rodriquez, Bielak,Scrubb,Taylor,Toro,Diaz,Straw (can run, that's it),Mayfield,Garneau. Are you kidding me ? I could put together a team of 50 year old plus team that would beat the hell out of these scrubs. Just an absolute joke. And Baker..sheesh, he could go yesterday as far as I'm concerned. A losing record and the worst record of the 8 AL team....embarrassing...where's the pride?
Why not? The teams with the 8 best records made the playoffs in the AL. They didn't get in over a team with a better record.
The fact that we got in is just a testament to how bad the rest of our division is aside from Oakland. They were really bad because we were pretty bad ourselves.
