I'm not trying to minimize Morey's successes or Harden's quality, but talking about "glory days" is ridiculous. I think you are confusing MDA with Rudy "T" and Harden with Hakeem.

I am not a Tilman fan to date, and I have made the same Knicks/Dolan analogies, questioned his ability to be successful as an owner, but I have not given up hope yet. I think he is well aware he made a massive error in trading for Westbrook, and I am hoping the D'Antoni departure will also humble him. He is about money, and he knows he needs a successful team to be profitable in our market, Dolan can afford to be arrogant and the value of his team will only go up , while Tilman's team value has a risk of falling tremendously vs what he paid for it.

-Loss of revenue from not having super star players under contract
-Loss of revenue from not playing extra playoff games
-Potential issues with debtors if he starts breaching covs.

If he absolutely tanks this franchise, he won't make money, will likely lose a ton, and will have to sell the team. He does not have Dolan level liquidity. Either the team is successful/competitive or it is sold.

 

Glory days is called an expression, its not meant to be taken literally.
