I remember when a few posters including myself about half a year ago posted the Bill Maher clip regarding his concern over Trump not accepting the results and most dismissed it. Most have changed their tune today and actually see it as a realistic possibility.

I wrote that he wouldn't in Feb of 2017. It was obvious then. People couldn't comprehend that he would do that at the time. Now it's real but may be too late. Trump will absolutely not concede. We are in danger.
I hope this is believed to be true because fear of this is the only thing preventing it from happening
While trump would certainly be the person to do this, I also blame the people that have enabled him to do this... the republicans in the Senate that protected him and the 30-40% of the voters that even now still support him.
If George Floyd can cause protests and unrest for months then I think the fall of democracy in the United States would look like a war zone outside. I think civil war is likely at this point. In fact, I believe the only way to keep America from tearing itself apart would be to split up and have a red & blue territory. Keep in mind we have millions of unemployed people who have nothing to lose.
The problem is that our country isn't divided by region. Its divided by rural vs urban. It's impossible to do a clean split of this country. At that point America will lose its superpower status. I doubt we will come to this. I hope.
