Ya they are trying to find a players coach to the small ball system when they should be trying to find a hard nose coach like Kenny Atkinson or Dave Joerger and revamping the system with roster moves.

Ty Lue is actually the perfect profile for an NBA coach. Someone who made it in the NBA for a long career despite limited athleticism and elite skills.

    Riley
    Carlisle
    Phil Jackson
    Kerr
    Rivers
    etc

Amico is trash. Might as well post a Burt Steele tweet.

I love Mad Max so much, I'm hoping Donovan Mitchell retweets thinking it is real.

True, but Lue is a perfect coach for Morey. Yes sir....whatever you want. Thanks for saving me as I am a winless players coach without Lebron.

Jason Kidd has already blown 2 head coaching jobs. I don't want us to be the third one he blows.

No one has the balls to predict date and exact time like Burt Steele. You should be ashamed by putting Burt's legendary name in the same mention as an Amico.

If Morey wants a coach its JVG.
If Harden wants a yes man its Lue.
If Tilman wants someone (really) cheap, he'll hire some rookie coach.

Or how about hiring Silas or Finch. JVG hasnt coached in years and I dont know what everyone's obsession with him is. We need a modern NBA coach and a tactician.....but really this is all a moot point because Westbrook can't be our second best player.

The only way that would work is if Westbrook were able to shoot 35% on 5 3s a game.

JVG hasn't coached in years so i'd imagine his approach to the game has changed since the Yao/Mac days. Just from listening to his commentary, he seems sold on analytics. And he'd admitted on air that his old style is outdated and that the game has evolved. I'm going on blind faith here but I think we wont see the same tired offense of the 90s rear its ugly head.

I dont know how Van Gundy will coach in 2020 but one thing i do know is that he keeps his players accountable. He expects and demands his players to play consistent defense. And thats a huge step up from someone like Lue who got a job because Lebron liked him.

very disappointing. JVG killed us with a painful and slow half court offense. Has he changed or is he obsolete. Lue hasn’t shown us much but riding on the coat tails of that championship year. Cassel is fresh, hungry, savvy former PG, former rocket and paid his dues under great coaches. Who else is a better fit? Another stupid morey mistake. Stupid. Stupid.

If we get Van Gumby that is our way of showing Harden out the door. That also means we are tanking it and ready for the lotto... oh wait we don't even have a pick...
