Oh well. I'll still take 0-16 if it means he's gone.

Wasting players career should have fired him ages ago. We had scarface on this thread sayin he rather have BoB get us into playoffs/ass blasted rather than try and hire a new coach fearing a similar brown coach carousel scenario.

No way in hell this team is going anywhere, no money, no draft picks. Its over we are pretty much bone for years to come especially after that sht hopkins trade. Unless magically the new gm/coach find generational talents.

It is amazing O'Brien has outlasted D'Antoni and Hinch.

What if this was BOB's masterplan all along? What if he saw this coming a couple of years ago as he realized he was in over his head as an NFL coach?

    1. Work your way towards a 4 year extension.
    2. Eventually getting so much trust from ownership that they make you the de facto GM
    3. Complete some ridiculous transactions
    4. Have your team play like ass
    5. Get fired but you're still collecting paychecks on the remaining years of Step 1
    6. Get hired by a college that's desperate and assume control over everything. Oh yea, get paaaaaaid while doing it.

I just can't take it. I don't understand people who are watching this and think we are on the right track.

The offense doesn't work. The man inherited a team with a good offense. A good offensive line. It has gotten only worse under Obrien.

His "scheme" doesn't create any easy offense. The OLine has played like crap no matter who they run out there, but golly gee our OLine coach is doing a heck of a job! Multiple outside observers have commented on the poor coaching they think is going on at the OLine level. Oh well, keep chugging along.

Have invested a TON of resources into the offense and can't make it work right. Yet we keep letting this man waste years trying.

It was pretty amusing to contrast the Texans' week 1 performance with what the rebuilding Chargers with a rookie QB suddenly making his first start were able to do vs KC.

It's baffling to me. "Lather. Rinse. Repeat." isn't good enough.

O'Brien sucks. That's it. He inherited a good defense and watched it waste away while peddling some BS offensive "system" that fails more than it succeeds.

And Deshaun is stupid for pinning his legacy to him. Hasn't looked good either.

The McNairs have to be the worst owners in Houston sports (Fertitta notwithstanding).

watson had a great rookie year .

BOB is too committed to his "system" or whatever it is to successfully put his players in the best position to maximize their talent. complexity for the sake of complexity , rigidness ... those are the thoughts i have when thinking about BoB

not a championship level coach , could be a great coordinator

Its surreal to see what Belichek and Josh McDaniels are doing with Cam Newton. For the guys who CREATED this offensive system that OBrien adopted they have been completely open minded and have thrown away the old playbook to get Cam in a position to succeed using his best talents.
