Until a few weeks ago this offense was leading the AL in runs per game. After that A's game was canceled at MMP the switch has flipped.
Correa predetermined that swing. Would have been an RBI-walk, inning still going, bases still loaded.
Altuve's hit the ball hard twice today...so there's also that if you're a bright side kinda guy. Also, was that Scrubb's first 1-2-3 inning of the year?
They are 22nd in position player WAR this season after leading MLB last season. While they’re missing Alvarez, if Tucker were performing like he did last season the Astros would likely be lower than the hapless Orioles bear the bottom of the league. It’s just odd that almost every hitter has regressed this season, although obviously this is likely sample size driven.
We're going to need at least 3 Springer solo HR's to win this one since everyone else is checked out.
I think Altuve's issue is mental. So many really bad AB's. We know that he can hit. I'm pretty sure it was
At least Springer and to an extent are showing signs of life. Bregman is looking like 2016 Bregman though.
Tucker performed slightly better last season than he has so far this year. I'm not sure why it's such a popular belief that he struggled.
20-8 at home; definitely regressed on the road though. Hope they start putting together some better ABs this road trip and find some confidence/momentum for the Wild Card round.
