This is hard to watch. What in the hell happened to these guys? Even with all of the injuries and drama, they should be better than this. They are seriously underachieving right now.
But if you had a dollar for every fastball they watched over the middle of the plate...? You'd still be poor, but you'd have about 468 dollars.
Hinch effect? Victim attitude? Let me ask you guys...WHO is the LEADER on this team? Yea baseball is different but who chews ass, who gets bent and voices displeasure? In all honesty they look rudderless. At this point it appears Baker has no touch emotionally with his players. At this point I’m throwing it all out there.....
This team is not right mentally. Obviously This isn’t a talent/skill issue....they look like they could care less to be there
I hate to think it, I hate to say it, I hate to see it, but somebody mentioned to me "they look like they've given up" last night. And I'm not sure how to argue with that. And I hate it.
Altuve actually doubled in a run. I'm sorry I missed that. Seems like he's been Mr. Single for so long now that I wasn't sure when he would get a multi-base hit. It's good to see.
Well, we won. This team is gonna be in the playoffs, but frankly if anybody said they're just going through the motions I couldn't disagree. The dead offense against awful pitching just continues.
The Good: Javier, despite only 4 IP and 2 ER, had more K's than IP, which is nice Brantley with another multi-hit day, and a clutch throw to 2nd for a double play James, despite the walk, kept things under control Raley continuing to be a good story and proving he can be trusted in high-leverage inings Pressly with a shutdown ninth! The Bad: We keep letting Kole Calhoun murder our pitching 1-11 from the bottom 4 hitters The Ugly: Bregman starting to look a bit concerning with his slump lately.
