What about Juwan Howard? currently coaching at Michigan longtime assistant with Miami which brings that Pat Riley type culture that has the Heat thriving right now

    Been apart of 2 championships

    Former Rocket

I think he would know how to manage egos since he was in a locker room with LBJ , Wade & those guys.

He would do wonders for JH & Russ imo as far as knowing what the championship mentality is and what it takes

Its his first season with Michigan so I'm not sure how willing he is to leave that situation. I also know he interviewed with the Lakers and others before taking the job at Michigan record was 19-12

Just a name I hadn't seen anyone mention yet correct me if I'm wrong

I think he would be something fresh and not the same old with these other coaches

knowing championship mentality and other cliches like that is what was being said about Doc when he left Boston to go to LA

unless somebody can convince me Juwan Howard is an excellent tactician, is very detail oriented, and a master of adjustments, then I do not want

that’s what Harden and Russ need...that’s what this team needs and has lacked the entire Harden era

we need a coach that’s not gonna have a James Harden stick figure with 4 guys hanging out on the perimeter doing nothing on his clipboard

I know it's a long off season but he was brought up as a candidate for another coaching position but he took his name out the equation quickly to stop any confusion. He said he was quite content and focused coaching where he was and was not looking to or would not be accepting any offers.

Yep, we need a Spoelstra type.

Doc Rivers is still milking that Celtics title, but that team was loaded with top-end talent and solid role players. Milkhair could've won a chip with them.

Juwan Howard made his fortune on his ability to shoot and make Mid Range shots. His whole game revolved around that. I fail to see how that mindset meshes with our Rocket culture.

Damn man. Dudes in here trying to bring back the dark years. Y’all don’t know how good you got it until you have to watch Juwan Howard for 82 games. Holy lord god. You think watching an injured Russ is bad.

I’ve got my hardcore Houston fan badge for that one. Feels like I lived through DDay.

Oops, I thought the question was whether we should sign Juwan to be our small ball center. He's very good at shooting from mid range.
