That's an interesting possibility. She has a pretty questionable reputation and may also be upset with trump and his circle for being embarrassed about how her cabinet position was handled and changed to a ambassador position.

Putin and Medvedev could have potentially set this up to weaken the U.S. Having an imbecile like Trump in the whitehouse and having his entire team under investigation. Russia could end up unloading information after Pence testifies to perjure himself. I wish I knew what Russia's potential options are, and what they most want to happen. I know they did not like Clinton. Do they ultimately want Trump and his admin to stay in office, or to get tossed out?
There are a lot of win-win scenarios for Putin either way. Either he gets a puppet in office, just a mole or two (Flynn and Manafort), or he gets to just create chaos and weaken the US when we have Trump exposed as a traitor. The only real downside is what Congress did in furthering Sanctions. (Which I think Trump hasn’t even put in place yet which should be a bigger scandal than in is essentially disregarding law passed by Congress). But what Putin wants is obvious- -Remove Sanctions and drill the artic to death to make trillions -weaken NATO -push to have the Baltic states rejoin Russia for a restoration of the Soviet Union (or invade as last resort) Putin got good return on his investment with Trump but his ultimate goals are still unrealized at this point which should concern Northern Europe a bit that Putin could get more desperate in the coming years and a weakened US is already taken place which could give him the opening he needs to take to start being more militarily brazen.
