He would have won here, easily, since getting Butler means keeping CP3.

CP3+Butler+Harden would have been the best team in the NBA for the next 3 years or so.

But, good on Butler, if he wins this one title it'll be worth more than winning as a 2nd-3rd option on the Rockets.

Dragic made some HUGE threes in clutch time.

Pretty amazing playoffs so far for dragic. Butler had a poor shooting game, but dude was out there competing and made the big plays.

Dragic, Lowry & Butler are my top picks as most enjoyable to watch this postseason thus far (in terms of heart/effort/tenacity).

Never thought the heat had a shot in hell to make the finals this year, but damn they are up 2-0. Heat nuggets finals plz !

Hopefully there are many punchable fire extinguishers in the Celtics' lockeroom.

They honestly could have won either of the last two games. Both teams have played extremely well. The entire Celtics / Raptors series was the way too. I get why he's frustrated, they are playing the right way but the Heat just happened to come out on top both games.

To be fair, I doubt anyone expected this success. Not even Heat fans.

Bucks, Celtics, 76ers, Raptors in the top heavy East. Miami would have been lucky to take a game or two in the first round against either 4 of those teams. And look where we are now.

The Heat are 6 wins away from winning a championship. So crazy.

so much for the conspiracy theory that the NBA will fix it to be a Celtics / LaL final

    • Heat came back in Q3 with the lead and won the game. Secret sauce is that Jimmy coffee.
    • Appreciate JVG calling out of the defense formations on both teams.
    • Mark Jackson: "What can Brown do for you"

Everyone in the rotation seems so stable, grounded and dependable.

Jimmy with his defense tonight. Goran the closer. Duncan Robinson looking like Klay Thompson. Crowder with the 3 and D. Adebayo showing why he is so highly rated this season. Herro showing why he was a lotto pick.

Then you have Iguodala and DJJ both doing different things to help.

THEN you have a very solid rookie like Nunn. And a HoF level coach in Spoelstra.

The Heat have an embarrassment of riches.

Stevens should be on the hot seat. He’s not preparing his team to go for the kill when they’re up. He’s coaching his players not to lose. Has the Heat been hot? Sure but that doesn’t excuse the bad play calling by him and the stupid passes by the players. Larry Bird needs to come back and mentor Stevens about killer instinct

i don’t know who Smart can b**** about because all of them played as if they’ve never been in the playoffs before.

That’s what you get when your owner and front office creates a great culture. Fertitta has decades to go

Stevens was screaming on the sidelines for Boston to push and not let Miami get set in their Zone. Obviously the players seem to not be listening to that for whatever reason. They very well may be imploding. Body language was very bad in that stretch where they gave up the 15 pts lead and on

this is why Morey was so desperate for Butler.

Tatum still has some growing up to do. That’s not a knock on him because this is, what, the 3rd time he’s been in the playoffs? But some of the things he’s doing....if they had Popovich they would have won both games.

There comes a point where young stars are going to need a different voice and it’s coming pretty close to the end for Stevens IMO. Not this year, maybe not the next but sooner or later Tatum, Smart and Brown are all going to tune him out.

    Jordan moved on from Collins
    Kobe moved on from Harris
    Dirk eventually got Carlisle

you keep a coach too long and you squander your chances (see: OKC and Brooks)

Celtics could easily be up 2-0 in this series. They dominate, but then let opponents back in.

I don't understand how anyone can really believe the nba is rigged/fixed, when New York hasn't won anything in decades, while san antonio, detroit, oakland, and cleveland have over 10 wins the same span.

Good points. How they respond after this with news coming out of the locker room will probably be huge for whether or not they’ve tuned him out at this point

if I had to put my tinfoil hat on it’s because the Knicks, from top down, sucks. Their owner is an incompetent prick who hires incompetent front office staff who then hires incompetent coaches. There’s only so much rigging the nba could do before it’s too damn clear that the Knicks are getting help from the league so why jeopardize the entire league?
